Brey Sloan, US woman, has a "Wife". Is she a Lesbian?

"New Light of Myanmar" published the photo of Brey Sloan, US military attaché to Burma, on the front page. According to the newspaper, she has a wife as stated in its sentence "military attachés of foreign embassies and their wives".
